This base profile is to be used when profiling the Encounter resource in VGR.

Scope and Usage

VGR Base Encounter is a regional adaptation of the base resource Encounter. VGR Base Encounter is used as is, or with further profiling for applications within VGR.

Must Support, Mandatory Elements, and Cardinality

VGR Base Encounter restricts Encounter.subject to VGR Base Patient to ensure that healthcare encounters with patients identified by regional IDs can be handled. Encounter.identifier and Encounter.class have been marked as MustSupport. These two adaptations will be proposed for a potential national base profile for Encounter.
